A talented civil engineer, JT has spent the better part of the past decade focused on serving the citizens of the City of Memphis through his work at Memphis Light, Gas, and Water. Since that time, JT has parlayed his depth of experience in land development, water resource and environmental permitting, green infrastructure, and pipeline assessment and design into his own successful engineering firm. Serving both public and private clients, Malasri Engineering strives to improve quality of life for the citizens of Memphis and surrounding areas by addressing 21st century needs.
Ian Strelsin joined Malasri Engineering in October 2017 as Vice President of Project Management and Technology. Previously, he spent 15 years at ServiceMaster including a stint as the head of the Furniture Medic brand, a franchise-based company consisting of over 300 franchises in the US, Canada, and the UK. He received his bachelor's degree in IT Management and MBA in Project Management, both from Christian Brothers University. His wife, Jenny, is a pediatric nurse practitioner for the heart failure and heart transplant program at LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
Ivan brings his experience in managing and designing water and wastewater projects to the team. Ivan has passion for water resources, land development, and community improvement. He currently holds certifications in PACP, MACP, LACP, and Level 1 Erosion Prevention Control; and he is an alumnus of EMBARK by the New Memphis Institute. Ivan is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Thomas has been active in the field of environmental engineering for over 25 years, including work as a regulator, as a manager for a regulated entity complying with water quality permits, and as a consultant helping to protect and restore water quality. As a registered professional engineer in Tennessee, California, and Illinois, he has led the investigation of water pollution issues and developed solutions to address water quality concerns that are specifically tailored to the situation, ranging from public education to the design and implementation of mechanical remediation systems. In 2013, Thomas won the prestigious ASCE Daniel B. Barge, Jr. Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to ASCE and the engineering field.
CaSandra is a native of Pine Bluff, AR, where she began her academic studies. She has nearly 20 years of executive/administrative professional experience, 16 of which she served in higher education. She is an active member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP).
